It goes without saying that millennial and Gen-Z have become the lonely of all. Reasons could be many for that. But the most visible one, in today’s world of technology, is constant stream of information. We are surrounded by a lot of people through social media, news, and gossip that have disabled us to ponder over our own thoughts and opinions. We have lost ourselves. Hence, it is extremely important to take some time out for yourself and reflect.

Your everyday conscious efforts can save you from this curse. How? I am discussing all the red flags in this post today. Give yourself some space and embrace solitude to find your soul. Self-awareness is the key, believe me!

Let’s begin.

1. The Chaos Of Outside World Bothers You

As mentioned earlier, we are so occupied with daily tasks and responsibilities that we have no time left for ourselves. The pressure of external world is so deep that your own thoughts are influenced. You often feel mentally paralyzed. And this is the high time you should inculcate in yourself the ability to zone out. I mean, self-time is precious like nothing. Look inside yourself. Become a little selfish and reflect on your day. Analyze your problems. And come back with a fresh perspective which is solely yours.

2. You Fear Loneliness

Many times, solitude is misinterpreted as loneliness. Remember, finding time to stay alone in solitude and being lonely are two different things. Loneliness is a negative emotion. It makes us experience disconnection with our closed ones like family and friends. While on the other side, self-time is necessary for all of us. It allows us to explore ourselves; reflect on each day, show gratitude, see what’s missing, and make efforts to find/change it.

3. Emotions And Feelings Make You Uneasy

We all are born with the gift of emotions and feelings. But very few master the art of controlling them. Yes, we learn it over time.

As humans, we are always restless. We are impatient to express ourselves, which sometimes ruin things.

Understanding grey areas in your life is a great opportunity to know your weaknesses. And spending some self-time is absolutely needed to work on them.

With time and patience, you learn how to stay calm in critical situations. You learn how to interact with people which improves your relations with them eventually. And you learn how to embrace and withhold your emotions when necessary. It feels quite rewarding when you find ways to improve yourself everyday day.
