If ever you appeared in an interview, you would know that most of the juries ask one conventional question i.e., “Where do you see yourself in the next five or ten years?” Yes, I have been there. You believe me not, I hadn’t had any idea of what to answer at that time. I used to think, if I haven’t figured out a thing yet, how am I supposed to tell the world about it? Nevertheless, now when I am in search of my purpose, I suppose I have been aware of where I see myself in the coming years.

When it comes to growth, it shouldn’t be considered in financial terms only, in my opinion. But also you as a person in its whole. Thus, I am all for self-improvement, discipline, or you can say personality traits in general. Former material stuff follows alongside. Let’s talk about what I look for myself, and maybe you should too.

  1. Empathy and Kindness

“Charity begins at home.” No matter what you seek, ensure first that you’re yourself filled with that enough. If you are not, how you are going to pour out from an empty heart. This world has been suffering more than ever since the pandemic. Everyone has been going through their struggles no one knows about — and you must be one of them. Explore yourself enough to be cognizant of where it requires embrace, compassion, or patience. Be mindful of your emotions by taking one thing at a time.

In the coming years, I see myself in a place where I may not only inspire people, but also myself. And it is merely possible if I am conscious enough to infuse the good energies around. Though that’s tough in this cruel world, I have chosen it to be my mission.

2. Good Habits

While talking about this, discipline is on top of my list — at least in this phase now. It is a kind of skill I yearn to learn slowly and steadily. Everything starts to fall in its place with simply getting started with the process. And later on, consistency is the key along the way.

Also, some other habits need their fair share of attention too. For instance, I must prefer completion over perfection. That’s how you progress and grow, right? Adding up, healthy eating, moving (may include walks, workouts, or something like that), reading, staying focused, kind greetings, gratitude, etc., are also in the line. Anyhow, nothing happens overnight. And each habit takes its own just effort and time. So I got to work on that.

3. Time Management

This better comes along with fulfilling already mentioned certain things — which immaculately points up discipline. Because only when you learn the value of time. Here I don’t only get to learn time management, but how to be mindful with my energy as well. And the choices I make on daily basis play a crucial role in this. It would be a struggle initially, which I got to make one way or another, I know. Nevertheless, everything would submerge in the subconscious later on. And I shall realize all this pain was worth it, for I would be rising above it all.

That’s it from my side.

You must also have some visions for yourself. Don’t you? Do share in the comments where you want to see your future self in a couple of years. I’d love to know.
